This is a comprehensive guidebook covering the rock climbing in the Vallee de L’Arve between Cluses and St Gervais. This limestone valley hosts mainly sport routes including long, multi-pitch routes. Though these multi-pitch routes are bolted it is advisable to take a small trad rack. In total the guidebook covers 1,260 routes that equates to 2,760 pitches across 51 crags. All the routes are shown on a mixture of colour photo topos or excellent line drawn topos. For each crag there is access information, a location map, and GPS co-ordinates for the parking areas. Symbols indicate the style of climbing to be found, altitude, crag orientation, and the best time of the year to climbing there. Published in January 2017 this guidebook is in French text throughout but a large amount of information is conveyed by symbols and easy-to-follow information.
