Stainless Steel Downspout Leaf Filter

A dedicated downspout protection solution sized for standard UK 90–100 mm drainage pipes. Fabricated from AISI 304 stainless steel with full material traceability (EN 10088-2 certified), it carries no surface treatments, plating or polymer coatings — relying solely on the inherent passivation layer for corrosion resistance. Outer diameter tapers gently from 98 mm to 96 mm over 115 mm length to accommodate minor pipe ovality. Mesh specification: 0.3 mm wire, square weave, 0.8 mm clear aperture — calibrated to intercept >90% of common UK garden detritus (oak leaves, birch catkins, grass cuttings) while permitting uninterrupted discharge during peak rainfall events (up to 120 L/min per unit, per BS EN 12056-3 Annex B). No gaskets, clips or fasteners required — relies on elastic deformation of the steel body for retention. Common deployment points include: end-of-gutter outlets on detached/semi-detached houses; soakaway inlet pipes in paved gardens; air brick grilles on cavity walls; and drip-edge channels beneath rooftop solar arrays — each application benefiting from identical debris-screening performance and zero-maintenance operation.
