Stainless Steel Downpipe Leaf Guard

Approximately 9.8 cm in diameter and 10 cm in height. Entirely constructed from stainless steel — selected for fatigue resistance, non-magnetic properties, and passive oxide layer formation that self-repairs minor surface abrasions. Compatible with standard UK downpipe diameters used in new-build and retrofit applications. Employs a hierarchical debris management strategy: the outer guard plate intercepts macro-litter (e.g., chestnuts, acorns, roofing granules), while the balloon element captures micro-debris (e.g., lichen spores, flower petals, fine soil) carried in sheet flow. Water channels freely through engineered pathways without turbulence or eddy formation. Installs in under 30 seconds per unit. No adhesive, clamp, or fastener required — relies on dimensional tolerance and material stiffness for secure positioning. Recommended for properties surrounded by deciduous trees, near hedgerows, or located in high-wind zones where airborne debris is frequent.
