Spring-Press Stainless Fermentation Lid

A purpose-built stainless steel fermentation lid for 86mm wide-mouth mason jars, combining durability, precision engineering, and food safety. Constructed entirely from high-grade, food-safe stainless steel — non-porous, corrosion-resistant, and inert in acidic environments typical of sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, and kombucha brewing. Its core innovation is the built-in spring-loading system that exerts gentle but constant downward force on fermentation weights, ensuring full submersion of produce in brine throughout the entire fermentation cycle. A dedicated silicone airlock valve regulates internal pressure by passively releasing carbon dioxide while blocking oxygen ingress — no water refills, no bubbling chambers, no maintenance. Designed to fit standard UK/EU wide-mouth jars (86mm inner diameter), it transforms ordinary storage jars into controlled anaerobic fermentation vessels. All parts disassemble easily and tolerate full dishwasher cycles without warping or seal degradation.
