Solid Wood Shoelace Trainer For Toddlers

Exact size: 6.5 cm (L) × 1 cm (H) × 4 cm (W). Weight: 38 g. Made from kiln-dried European beech — dense, stable and resistant to warping. Paint conforms to Directive 2009/48/EC on toy safety, with third-party lab test reports available upon request. Laces are cotton-core with polyester wrap for strength and colourfastness. The shoe silhouette is simplified but instantly recognisable — supporting schema development around familiar objects. Holes are countersunk to guide lace tips and reduce frustration. Bright, non-fading colours aid differentiation for children with colour vision variations common in ~8% of UK males. Deployed in over 120 UK early years settings via government-funded ‘School Readiness’ grants. Compatible with EYFS continuous provision principles — encourages child-led exploration, repetition, and intrinsic motivation without external rewards or screen-based prompts.
