This single-hole dowel jig is built from high-purity aluminium alloy, treated with industrial oxidation for enhanced surface hardness and long-term resistance to abrasion and environmental exposure. Its ergonomic profile allows firm two-hand control during operation, while the precisely aligned guide sleeve ensures drill bit runout stays within acceptable tolerances for dowel joint integrity. The jig’s core function — self-centring on board edges — is achieved via a balanced foot system that pivots and locks to accommodate material thicknesses ranging from thin veneered panels to thick worktop substrates. A total of eight drill bushings (3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm) are supplied: one pre-mounted, seven spares stored in a dedicated compartment. This enables rapid size changes between jobs without tooling delays, supporting both fine joinery and structural woodworking applications across domestic and light commercial settings.
