Simplex SMF SC/APC Patch Cord 3m

A 3-meter simplex single mode fibre patch cord based on Corning G652D fibre, terminated with SC/APC connectors using ceramic ferrules. Outer jacket is 3.0 mm PVC — durable, insulated, and wear-resistant — with overall size 1000 × 1 × 1 cm (393 × 0.39 × 0.39 in). Designed for 1310 nm and 1550 nm operation, with insertion loss ≤ 1 dB, tensile rating of 200 N, and minimum bend radius of 3.8 cm. Fully aligned with ITU-T G.652.D and IEC 60793-2-50 standards for single mode fibre performance. The cord’s low back reflection and stable attenuation profile ensure compatibility with high-speed coherent and direct-detect transceivers used in UK academic research networks (JANET), financial trading platforms, and government secure comms infrastructures. Its consistent geometry and polishing quality reduce the risk of connector end-face damage during routine maintenance — lowering total cost of ownership across multi-year deployments. Used extensively in optical test labs for reference calibration, in fibre handover points for Openreach ‘fibre-first’ builds, and in modular data centre deployments where rapid provisioning and hot-swappable optics demand zero-compromise interconnect reliability.
