Robust Outboard Motor Steering Lock

Constructed from impact-resistant plastic, this outboard hydraulic steering lock is engineered for repeated use in marine environments. Its overall footprint measures approximately 15 cm wide × 8 cm deep × 6 cm high, with a total weight of 180 g. The curved steel-reinforced cable extends to 30 cm and connects two rigid locking arms designed to clamp securely around standard hydraulic steering rods (diameter range: 2.5–4.5 cm). The large-grip handles ensure positive control during installation and removal. It functions by immobilising the steering linkage laterally — not hydraulically — preserving factory steering integrity while preventing unintended oscillation. No drilling, adhesives or permanent attachment is required. Use it whenever the outboard is off-water: during overland transport on a trailer, hand-carrying on docks or ramps, or long-term storage. Reduces cumulative strain on steering hoses, pivot pins and mounting hardware — helping extend service life and avoid costly repairs.
