Reusable Beeswax Bread Bags Organic

Set of two extra-large (17 x 12 inch / 43 x 30 cm) reusable bread bags made entirely from GOTS-certified organic cotton and coated with a proprietary blend of UK-sourced beeswax, cold-pressed jojoba oil, and ethically harvested pine resin. The fabric thickness is calibrated to 220 gsm — robust enough to resist tearing during handling or folding, yet supple enough to drape naturally over irregular loaf shapes. Each bag weighs approx. 85 g and features reinforced stitching along the top hem for long-term seam integrity. The beeswax lining forms a semi-permeable membrane that actively manages ambient moisture: slowing evaporation from the loaf surface while permitting CO₂ release from residual fermentation — critical for maintaining sourdough’s complex aroma profile and avoiding off-flavours from trapped gases. This dual-action protection preserves both sensory qualities and structural integrity longer than passive storage methods. Suited for everyday UK kitchen use — from storing weekday sandwich loaves and weekend sourdough bakes, to carrying fresh pastries to village fairs or farmers’ markets. Also tested successfully for short-term fridge storage (up to 7 days) and extended freezer use (up to 3 months) without wax migration or fabric stiffening.
