Rainbow-Making Crystal Prism Pendant

Physical specs: 3.5 cm diameter disc, 2.5 cm thick, 45 g; material: solid K9 optical crystal; optical features: full-surface faceting on both sides and bevelled edge; no moving parts or external power. Light interaction is purely physical: incoming photons disperse according to Snell’s Law at each facet interface. The cumulative effect produces overlapping spectral arcs — not single-line rainbows — giving depth and movement to projected colour. Performance peaks between 9am–3pm under UK daylight, with strongest output from March to October. Recommended placement: within 1 m of untreated glass (no UV film or low-e coating); avoid double-glazed units with reflective interlayers which reduce transmission. Ideal for listed building windows where modifications are restricted — adds dynamic light art without permanent alteration.
