Professional Marimba Mallets Carbon Cotton

A pair of performance-ready mallets combining carbon fibre rigidity with natural cotton thread resilience. Shaft diameter: 12 mm; overall length: 380 mm; average weight per mallet: 58–62 g. The cotton wrapping is applied under calibrated tension to ensure uniform density and acoustic coupling—no voids, gaps, or thin spots. Material choice avoids synthetic polymers that harden or degrade with UV exposure, making them suitable for use in schools with large windows or venues with ambient lighting. Sound character is warm and rounded, with moderate spread and clear fundamental focus—ideal for contemporary and classical marimba literature requiring expressive nuance.
