This product is designed to maintain power bank operation by providing a consistent current draw, preventing automatic shutdown due to low or no load. It can be used for testing power bank consumption and charger performance. The module acts as a load to keep the power bank active during use or testing. Most power banks automatically shut down after a few minutes when they detect minimal or no current draw, similar to when a phone is fully charged or disconnected. This module prevents such shutdowns by maintaining a controlled current draw. The device features a USB-A port with adjustable current draw settings: 25mA, 50mA, 75mA, and 150mA. Users can select the appropriate setting based on their power bank’s requirements. If the power bank still shuts down, additional jumpers can be connected to increase the load. For example, selecting the 50mA setting draws 50mA; if shutdown occurs, adding a 25mA or other setting increases total draw until the power bank remains on. Maximum total current draw is 300mA (sum of all settings).
