OD409W Drum Replacement Unit

This OD409W drum replacement unit is engineered exclusively for the Toshiba E Studio 409S printer platform. Measuring 36.5 cm long with an 8.5 cm diameter drum core and weighing 1.2 kg, it uses a multi-layer organic photoconductor coated on a dynamically balanced aluminium substrate. Its role is to serve as the primary image carrier during the electrophotographic process: receiving the laser-written latent image, attracting toner particles selectively, and transferring them cleanly to paper. When substituted for a degraded original, it recovers lost contrast, eliminates repeating artefacts (ghosts), and stabilises toner adhesion — especially important for duplex printing where backside density must match frontside output. Designed for UK office environments with mixed workloads — from weekly payroll reports to termly student handouts — it supports predictable uptime and consistent output quality. Installation requires only basic operator training: open front door, lift lever, slide out old unit, insert new unit straight and firmly until fully engaged, then close door.
