Malleable Polyurethane Denture Gel

A solid, malleable denture gel built on a polyurethane polymer backbone — engineered for intraoral adaptation without chemical curing. Its transformation begins at ≥62°C, where it achieves uniform plasticity akin to rubber paste, permitting detailed shaping using dental probes and finger pressure. Once contoured to gum and edentulous ridge, it hardens upon cooling — either passively at room temperature or rapidly via cold-water rinse — forming a resilient, semi-transparent structure. Excess material may be repurposed to reinforce denture bases. Surface blemishes such as fingerprints are removable post-setting using dental plaque scrapers and fine sandpaper, supporting both functional integration and visual authenticity.
