This 6-piece metric tap kit includes sizes M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 and M10, all featuring 1/4-inch hex shanks for reliable clamping in standard chucks and tap holders. Crafted from high-speed steel with nitrided surface and titanium plating, these taps combine strength, heat resistance and corrosion resilience. Their spiral taper design improves chip flow and reduces the risk of thread distortion caused by excessive depth, while the self-centring point enables direct engagement without auxiliary marking tools. Designed for wood, plastic, thin aluminium (up to 6 mm), copper and similar soft materials. Always use water-based cooling during operation — if cooling is impractical, operate at moderate speeds to manage temperature and preserve cutting edge integrity.
