Long-Range Waterproof Ultrasonic Sensor

The JSN-SR04T is a dedicated ultrasonic distance measurement module built around a fully integrated waterproof transducer and enclosed signal path. It runs on 5V DC, draws only 5mA in standby and 30mA during operation, and uses standard 40kHz ultrasonic frequency. Its detection range covers 25cm to 4.5m with ~0.5cm resolution and a beam divergence of less than 50 degrees. The module outputs echo duration as a high-level pulse on the RX pin after triggering via the Trig pin — allowing direct calculation of distance using sound speed (340m/s) and time-of-flight. Rated for operation between -10°C and +70°C, it supports deployment in variable outdoor and industrial conditions.
