Precision-engineered from solid 316 stainless steel — the highest grade commonly used in marine hardware — offering superior resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking and prolonged seawater immersion. Overall dimensions: 85 mm length × 40 mm width × 25 mm height; unit weight: ~180 g. Features a cold-forged clamp arm and hardened pivot pin for fatigue-resistant operation. Compatible with panels 8–12 mm thick. The latch uses a direct-acting cam-lever system: pressing down rotates the cam to pull the clamping jaw vertically, generating up to 45 kg of holding force. Release is achieved by lifting the lever — no tools or keys required for unlocking, though the lockable position secures the lever in place. Deployed across diverse applications: securing sailboat companionway hatches during heavy weather; keeping RV roadside storage bins closed at motorway speeds; maintaining tight closure on aluminium trailer lockers exposed to rain, road salt, and UV — all without degradation or functional compromise.
