LM2596HV-Based Adjustable Buck Module

This DC-DC step-down module is built on the LM2596HV controller and housed in a compact metal enclosure measuring 43 mm × 21 mm × 14 mm. It accepts input voltages from 4.5 V to 60 V DC and provides a smooth, adjustable output from 3 V to 40 V DC. The module delivers up to 3 A of continuous output current with peak conversion efficiency reaching 92%. Its switching frequency is fixed at 150 kHz, resulting in low electromagnetic interference and consistent regulation. Output voltage ripple stays under 30 mV, ensuring clean power for noise-sensitive electronics. The unit operates reliably between −45 °C and +85 °C and features a blue-coloured metal casing for visual identification and thermal dissipation.
