A dedicated surface-mount PCB antenna calibrated to 1623 MHz for full compatibility with Iridium satellite modems. Physical size: 25 mm × 25 mm × 3 mm; total mass: < 5 g. Constructed using flame-retardant plastic (UL94-V0 grade) with embedded copper radiator pattern. Connector type: IPEX/I-MX (U.FL), polarity standard. Designed for permanent mounting on FR-4 PCBs with ≥ 40 mm × 40 mm copper ground plane beneath the antenna area. Not intended for handheld or flexible-cable applications — best suited for fixed-install IoT gateways, vessel tracking units, and remote sensor hubs requiring global two-way messaging via Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) or Certus services.
