Some patients are 'difficult sticks'; their veins are either very small or deep, preventing healthcare professionals from finding a site easily and quickly. 2. Repeated needle sticks are painful for the patient and can also reduce their confidence in the ability of the phlebotomist performing the stick. 3. While our device helps you find veins easily for smaller clinics or facilities, even for collectors and hobbyists, it is suitable for most people to find veins with the fewest number of sticks. How to use: Step 1: Minimize the light. A dark room gives the best results. Press the button on the underside of the device to turn on the infrared LED light. Step 2: Gently press on the skin with hand pressure and slowly move the device from side to side. Veins will appear as shadows or dark lines that will show on the periphery of the device which glows red. Note: The device must be in contact with the skin when searching for veins. Removing the light from the skin will show nothing. Step 3: Once the vein is found (dark shadows/lines), move the infrared light around this area to get the best visual sharpness. If the vein is closer to the surface, the light source may need to be moved further away as it may be too bright and cover the vein. It is best to follow the path of the vein so that you have a complete visual size and direction. Note: It is best to find a vein that follows a straight path.
