High-Power Sensorless BLDC Driver

This compact, bare PCB BLDC motor driver is built on the SNR8503M chip and engineered for high-power, sensorless three-phase motor control. With an input voltage range of 6–80V DC and rated capacity of 20A continuous (50A peak), it delivers up to 1600W output. Key interfaces include analog PWM speed input (0.5–5V, 1–20 kHz, 10–100% duty cycle), UART serial port for full bidirectional communication, and hardware-selectable rotation direction (open = CW, GND = CCW). An FG feedback pin outputs pulse signals proportional to motor speed (RPM = FG frequency × 60 ÷ pole count), and onboard LEDs give visual indication of system state. Thermal design supports natural convection up to 5A; above that, active cooling is required. Comprehensive protection includes reverse-polarity, overcurrent, and stall detection—making it fit for continuous-duty applications like HVAC blowers, hydraulic oil pumps, and electric screwdrivers.
