Heavy-Duty Adjustable Training Wheels

Built for durability and adaptability, these training wheels suit 12–20 inch kids’ bikes — including internally geared hubs and coaster-brake models. Frame: cold-rolled iron with powder-coated black finish; wheels: solid rubber tyres, 12 cm diameter, 3.5 cm wide. Overall weight: ~1.2 kg per pair. Package includes two extension bolts (M8 × 40 mm) and two mounting screws — all necessary hardware supplied. The bracket system slides vertically along the extension bolt, enabling height changes without disassembly. Rubber tyres compress slightly under load to absorb minor surface irregularities, enhancing comfort and reducing jarring feedback to young riders. Frame stiffness ensures minimal lateral deflection during leaning, preserving directional predictability at low speeds. Frequently used by cycling instructors in UK primary schools and community bike libraries, this design prioritises repeatability and safety over novelty — supporting structured, progressive skill-building from first pedal strokes to confident solo balance.
