FTDI-Based USB TTL Debug Cable

Engineered for professional embedded development, this USB-to-TTL serial cable implements the FTDI FT232RNL chip inside an industrial-grade black plastic enclosure. Connects via USB-A to host computers or single-board computers (including Raspberry Pi 5), and terminates in two simultaneous output formats: colour-coded 4-pin DuPont leads and a keyed SH103 4-pin header. Approximate dimensions: 95 × 28 × 18 mm (module); total cable length: ~1.2 m; mass: ~45 g. Internally uses 2-layer FR-4 PCB with 1 oz copper, gold-edge connectors, and conformal coating on critical protection components. Baud rate range spans 300 bps to 3 Mbps, selectable via host software or terminal emulator. Three status LEDs (Power, TX, RX) light only when their associated electrical conditions are met — e.g., RX LED activates only when valid start-bit edge is sensed, not merely when line is asserted. Protection includes 500 mA polyfuse, ±15 kV contact ESD (IEC 61000-4-2), and bi-directional IO clamping to prevent latch-up on connected microcontroller UART pins.
