Physical specs: ~10 cm long (±1–3 cm), ultra-thin FPC construction, gold-plated contact pads, and matte yellow surface finish. Functions as the primary signal bridge between the lens’s aperture driver IC and motor — critical for automatic diaphragm control. Compatible only with Sigma lenses using Canon EF/EF-S protocol; incompatible with native L-mount or mirrorless variants. Installation requires removal of front lens elements and precise reseating at both ends — best performed under magnification with anti-static precautions. Colour may vary slightly between batches but has no effect on electrical or mechanical performance.
