Foldable Hexagon Minnow Eel Trap

Engineered for anglers who value simplicity and reliability, this trap uses a proven hexagonal form factor with six entry openings — enhancing accessibility for slender, curious species like eels and minnows. Constructed from abrasion-resistant nylon and supportive steel components, it withstands repeated dragging over gravel, sand and barnacle-encrusted rocks. The 6-hole model measures 67 × 33 × 19 cm when deployed and folds neatly to 34 × 21 cm; the 12-hole alternative expands vertical capacity to 35 cm while retaining similar footprint. Weights are kept low at 343 g and 375 g respectively — ideal for day trips where gear weight matters. Effective for smelt, eels, minnows, shrimp, crabs, lobsters and crawfish in diverse UK habitats from chalk streams to coastal rockpools.
