ESP32 Board With Integrated Charger

A purpose-built ESP32 development board measuring 90 × 30 mm (3.5 × 1.2 in), weighing approx. 26 g (0.9 oz), and designed specifically for portable and battery-operated applications. It interfaces directly with a single 18650 lithium-ion battery (not included), incorporating a dedicated charging IC providing 0.5 A charging current and up to 1 A regulated system output. The ESP32 SoC integrates 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios using TSMC 40 nm low-power process, and includes on-chip RF components — antenna, balun, power amplifier, low-noise amplifier and filters — minimising external component count and PCB area. Status indication is handled by two LEDs: one showing battery charge state (red = charging, green = full), another programmable via GPIO16. A physical power switch offers manual control. Full ESP32 pinout is exposed for maximum hardware expandability. Software support includes LWIP, FreeRTOS and Lua, with native operation in AP, STA and AP+STA modes. Over-charge and over-discharge protection ensures safe, repeatable battery cycling.
