Eco-Friendly Rectangular Rice Ball Mold

This DIY sushi mold is made from food-grade polypropylene (PP), ensuring safe contact with cooked rice and fillings. The main mold measures approximately 10.5 × 6 × 5 cm (4.1 × 2.4 × 2 in), with a press plate sized at 10.3 × 5 × 5 cm (4 × 2 × 2 in) for even compression. A dedicated rice spoon is included, measuring roughly 5 × 14 cm (2 × 5.5 in), designed to portion and transfer rice efficiently into the mold cavity. The rectangular shape produces uniform, compact onigiri or musubi ideal for bento boxes or packed lunches. Its multi-layer stacking capability allows users to build layered rice balls — such as thousand-layer sushi styles — by pressing successive rice layers with the same tool.
