Durable Stainless Watermelon Corer

Physical specs: 15.0 cm long × 12.0 cm wide × 5.2 cm high; weight ~280 g. Manufactured from solid 304 stainless steel bar stock — machined and deburred, then passivated for enhanced oxide layer formation. Surface hardness: ~200 HV, sufficient to resist dulling against melon rinds but safe for non-scratch contact with ceramic or stainless sinks. Core function verified across 30+ real-world UK kitchen trials: consistently cores watermelons up to 22 cm diameter in ≤3 seconds per stroke, with zero instances of blade bending, handle deformation or rind shattering. Also validated on 12–15 cm cantaloupes and honeydews — maintains clean exit holes without rim tearing or flesh pull-out. Serves dual roles: primary coring tool for whole melons; secondary utility tool for pre-slicing venting (e.g., releasing steam before microwaving), portion marking, or creating openings for skewers or garnishes — extending usefulness beyond seasonal melon use.
