Dometic RM Series Copper Thermocouple

A genuine Dometic thermocouple replacement for RM-series absorption refrigerators installed in recreational vehicles, campervans, motorhomes, and touring caravans. Constructed with copper wire for precise thermal response and long-term reliability under vibration and temperature cycling. Typical length: ~250 mm; diameter: ~2.5 mm; weight: ~30 g. Designed to interface directly with the gas safety valve and burner assembly. Its role is to generate a small voltage when heated by the pilot flame — this signal keeps the gas valve open. If flame stability declines or the fridge fails to ignite consistently, thermocouple degradation is frequently the root cause. Replacement restores proper flame detection and eliminates false shutdowns. Not a universal part — confirmed for Dometic RM models only. Professional verification after installation is strongly advised per manufacturer guidance.
