This DIY Geiger counter kit measures gamma radiation (20–120 mR/h) and soft beta particles (100–1800 counts/cm² per spot). It supports common Geiger-Müller tubes including M4011, SBM20, J305, and others operating between 330–600 V. The module is compact (10.8 × 6.3 × 2 cm), lightweight, and built with durable ABS plastic. Power options include 5 V DC supply or battery configurations: three 1.5 V AA/AAA cells (4.5 V total) or four 1.2 V NiMH cells (4.8 V total); operating current ranges from 12–30 mA depending on load and tube voltage. It features audible and visual alarm outputs, an interrupt signal interface for microcontroller integration (e.g., Arduino/Raspberry Pi), and SPI-compatible data logging capability for PC connection, MATLAB analysis, and custom radiation monitoring station development.
