DIY Aluminium Omnidirectional Robot Kit

Engineered for hands-on robotics learning and prototyping, this chassis uses aerospace-grade aluminium alloy for superior stiffness and minimal flex during multi-axis motion. Its omnidirectional capability stems from four precisely angled Mecanum rollers per wheel — enabling seamless forward, reverse, left/right translation and diagonal movement without yaw pre-rotation. Each wheel hub integrates a DC reduction motor with 1:48 gearing, running stably at ~180 rpm (tested) under 4.5V nominal supply (3–6V functional range) and drawing ≤80mA at rest. All structural and drivetrain parts are included for full assembly; minor variance in screw types or bracket designs may occur between batches but does not affect compatibility or function.
