Product description: COMPO BIO Seed and Herb Soil (peat-free) is a high-quality, peat-free organic potting soil specifically formulated for the needs of seeds, herbs, cuttings, and young plants. The included starter fertilizer ensures reliable germination and promotes vigorous growth. This peat-free organic potting soil consists of 100% natural and renewable ingredients, without peat. This enables sustainable gardening in harmony with nature. The loose, airy structure of the soil offers excellent water absorption and retention. The soil mix is ideal for sowing seeds and young plants, as well as for cultivating herbs. It can be used in seed trays, plant pots, and mini and large greenhouses. The particularly fine structure and high stability prevent clumping and provide sufficient support for delicate roots. This prevents waterlogging and root rot, ensuring healthy development. The soil's pH value is adjusted to the plants' needs, enabling optimal nutrient uptake by the young roots. This peat-free organic potting soil is also suitable for organic farming thanks to its purely organic nutrient formula, supporting environmentally conscious and ecological gardening. The packaging consists of over 80% recycled material, meeting the Blue Angel ecolabel criteria. Application: For: Properties: High-quality, peat-free organic potting soil for sowing seeds, herbs, cuttings, and young plants. 100% natural* and renewable ingredients without peat: for sustainable gardening in harmony with nature. Loose, airy structure and excellent water absorption and retention. Specially formulated fertilization for young plants and seedlings for reliable germination and vigorous growth. Instructions for use: Growing medium for plants with low to medium nutrient requirements; ready-to-use growing medium for sowing herbs and other seeds, pricking out young plants, or propagating cuttings. Once the seedlings have developed sufficiently, they should be transplanted into other growing media or into the ground. It is generally recommended to loosen the potting soil before use to eliminate any clumps or compaction. 1. The soil forms the basis for good germination. Fill the container with COMPO BIO seed starting and herb soil to about 1 cm below the rim. You can use biodegradable seedling pots or planting trays for this. 2. Sowing the seeds. Pay attention to whether your seeds are light- or dark-germinating. Light-germinating seeds remain on the surface of the soil. Dark-germinating seeds are covered with a thin layer of potting soil and gently pressed down. Moisten the soil carefully afterward to prevent the fine seeds from being washed away. Once the plants have established themselves and developed their first true leaves, they can be planted outdoors (pay attention to temperatures). You can also use COMPO BIO potting and herb soil as a soil improver for sowing outdoors and for your herb garden. Application period: February to October. Active ingredients: Growing medium made with plant-based materials and fertilizers. Store protected from the elements, such as sun and rain. Nutrient levels may change slightly with prolonged storage. Reseal opened packages for storage. Package size: 10-liter bag
