Compact SD to IDE Conversion Board

A purpose-built conversion board that bridges modern SDHC/SDXC memory cards to legacy IDE interfaces. It conforms to SD Specification v2.0 and IDE/ATA-33 standards, featuring a 44-pin 2.0mm male IDE port and native true-IDE mode operation. Supports DMA-33 and Ultra DMA for efficient data transfers. Two discrete controller ICs ensure accurate command translation and signal conditioning. The SD card slot is located on the underside of the PCB for optimal mechanical retention. Encased in black plastic, it measures roughly 7.0 × 5.5 × 1.2 cm and weighs approximately 25 grams. Fully tested on DOS, Windows 98SE, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, Vista, and Linux — supporting full disk enumeration, formatting, and boot capability from SD media in real-world legacy setups.
