Coarse Fine Pond Filter Foam

A two-stage mechanical filter foam set comprising coarse and fine sponge layers, intended for use in BioPress 4000 and PondoPress 5000 pressure-based pond filtration systems. Made from durable, resilient sponge material in black and blue. Each layer is sized to occupy the full cross-section of the filter’s media housing. The coarse foam captures heavy particulates such as leaf litter and sludge; the fine foam traps smaller suspended solids including algae cells and detritus. Together they deliver comprehensive mechanical clarification without restricting water flow. Simple to install: slide into position within the filter unit’s media tray. Cleaning is performed by gently squeezing and rinsing in pond water — avoiding chlorine exposure that harms biological function.
