Its core sharpening elements are precision-aligned ceramic rods mounted within robust plastic housings and supported by a solid wood base. The unit contains three distinct knife sharpening slots and one independent scissor sharpener, enabling full workflow coverage: coarse grinding for neglected edges, repair for chipped or misaligned bevels, fine grinding for everyday maintenance, and polishing for refined cutting performance. Designed exclusively for carbon or stainless steel straight-edge blades — such as chef’s knives, utility knives, cleavers and domestic scissors — it does not support serrated, ceramic or coated blades. The handle is shaped for balanced control, and the base stays firmly in place on wood, stone or glass surfaces.
