Engineered for dependable suction-line protection, this foot valve combines a robust brass body, precision-machined sealing surface, and a replaceable stainless steel filter element. With nominal size DN50 (2 inch), internal diameter of 57 mm, and compact footprint of 135 mm × 78 mm, it fits easily into confined well casings or tank bases. Its primary role is twofold: filtering incoming water to protect downstream pump components, and acting as a one-way valve to retain prime. Capable of withstanding working pressures up to 1.6 MPa, it performs reliably in cold water, heated recirculation loops, and light hydrocarbon service — meeting typical requirements for UK domestic boreholes, garden irrigation, and small-scale aquaculture systems.
