Auto-Switching Car RCA Video Selector

Built for reliability in moving vehicles, this 2-to-1 RCA video switcher features a compact 6.5 × 4.5 × 2.2 cm ABS housing weighing just 42 g. It handles two independent composite video inputs (V1 and V2) and routes one shared RCA output, powered solely by 12V DC. Its defining feature is priority-based auto-switching: V1 acts as the default source, while V2 remains on standby; only when V1 signal disappears does the unit switch to V2 — a behaviour proven effective in reversing assist applications where rear camera activation is tied to gear position. The design avoids unnecessary electronics or latency, delivering immediate response to signal loss — critical for driver awareness and compliance with UK vehicle camera guidelines for reversing aids.
