AS608 Optical Fingerprint Module

Compact optical fingerprint recognition module based on the AS608 sensor, engineered for integration into door locks and access control hardware. Powered by DC 3.3V with minimal operating current draw. Physical size aligns with standard AS608 specifications (~32 × 28 × 20 mm), lightweight and mountable via integrated PCB pads or screw holes. Captures fingerprint images optically, then runs proprietary algorithms to extract minutiae features — ridge endings, bifurcations — and convert them into compact mathematical templates. Registration requires two consecutive scans to synthesise a stable composite template stored locally. Matching supports both 1:1 (verification against a known ID) and 1:N (search across all enrolled users), with response times optimised for sub-second user feedback. No external image processing or cloud dependency required — full biometric workflow handled autonomously on-device.
