All-Metal Solar Filter for Astronomy

A fully metallic solar filter designed specifically for astronomical observation, featuring a rigid, glue-free build using only metal components — free from formaldehyde and other volatile binders. Installation is achieved via direct threading onto the telescope’s objective lens housing, ensuring a firm, non-slip, maintenance-free fit. The absence of adhesive eliminates risks of yellowing, cracking, or delamination over time. Compatible with both reflector and refractor telescopes, it supports safe observation of solar phenomena, the Moon, planets, and deep-sky objects. Accurate sizing requires measuring the outer diameter of the objective lens: models like the Celestron 127SLT (146 mm OD) require the 160 mm filter, while the Celestron 8SE (235 mm OD) needs the 250 mm version. The ‘Type: 100mm’ designation reflects conventional naming within the solar filter category. Contents include only the composite membrane filter — no extras or accessories.
