A4-80 M12 Self-Locking Hex Nuts

Set of 10 DIN 985-compliant M12 self-locking hex nuts fabricated from A4-80 stainless steel (316 stainless) with built-in nylon locking feature. Physical specs: 19 mm AF, 10.8 mm height, M12 × 1.75 thread. Pack weight ~180 g. The nylon is co-moulded into the thread root during final machining, ensuring full thread coverage and optimal deformation control upon tightening. Each nut exhibits high resistance to galling, seizing, and galvanic corrosion — especially important when used with stainless steel, aluminium, or coated bolts. The locking action is activated on first engagement and remains effective across temperature fluctuations and moderate vibration levels typical in domestic, agricultural, and light industrial settings. Widely applied in modular construction projects, caravan awning fittings, bicycle component upgrades, timber frame connectors, and educational STEM kits — where users value ease of use, corrosion resilience, and confidence in long-term joint security without specialist knowledge.
