7 Inch Cast Iron Flat Grill Press

7 inch flat cast iron grill press with uncoated surface and ergonomic wooden handle. Constructed from dense, vibration-dampened cast iron for stability and heat retention. Plate thickness: 12 mm. Overall weight: ~1.8 kg. Diameter: 7 inches (17.8 cm), circular profile with smooth, rounded edges for safety and easy cleaning. Wooden handle is fixed with corrosion-resistant stainless steel hardware and finished with food-safe mineral oil. Delivers professional-level contact pressure for everyday UK cooking: keeps bacon flat during frying, locks in burger juices while forming a caramelised crust, seals grilled cheese without leakage, and evens out vegetable slices for faster charring. Works equally well on induction-compatible pans, gas burners, electric griddles, and portable flat-top BBQs. Not intended for oven baking or broiling due to wooden handle limitations. To season: heat gently on stove, apply thin oil layer, cool, repeat 2–3 times. For best results, preheat press 60 seconds before placing on food. Clean with non-abrasive sponge or stiff brush — never steel wool or dishwasher. Dry immediately and oil lightly before storage. Avoid soaking or leaving wet. Handle may darken with age but remains safe and functional.
