5.6A Digital Stepper Driver

High-precision digital microstep driver model DM556, designed for 2-phase bipolar stepper motors in NEMA23 and NEMA34 configurations (including 57mm and 86mm frame sizes). Enclosed in durable aluminium for passive thermal regulation. Operates on 18–48V DC input power with ≥200VA supply requirement—standard implementation uses 36V DC. Output current is user-adjustable across eight levels (1.0A to 5.6A, 0.5A steps) via DIP switches. Utilises dual constant-current PWM drive for accurate current delivery and minimal motor heating. Safety-rated with insulation resistance >500MΩ and dielectric strength 500V/min. Fully fanless: relies on natural convection cooling. Functional within 0°C–+50°C ambient temperature and ≤80% RH (non-condensing, frost-free).
