40kA PV SPD 500V DC Modular

A modular, DIN-rail mounted DC surge protection device designed specifically for photovoltaic installations across the UK and Europe. Encased in flame-retardant PC material, it delivers robust physical and electrical protection. Electrical specifications include 500V DC maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc), 20 kA nominal discharge current (In), and 40 kA maximum discharge current (Imax), with a low voltage protection level of 2.0 kV. Protection class is IP20; operating temperature spans –40°C to +80°C, and relative humidity tolerance reaches ≤90% at 25°C average. Includes automatic thermal disconnection, short-circuit protection, and intuitive LED status indication (green = operational, red = degraded/faulted). Installs directly onto standard 35 mm rail in solar distribution boards or combiner boxes.
