3.5 Inch Rustproof Stump Removal Kit

Includes 23 pure copper nails (3.5 inches × 3.5 mm), 1 stainless steel nail (3.5 inches × 3.5 mm), and 1 cobalt-enhanced high-speed steel drill bit nail (2.7 inches × 3.5 mm). All components share identical 3.5 mm shank diameter for seamless compatibility — enabling clean insertion after pilot drilling and minimising wood splitting. Copper’s natural biostatic properties inhibit fungal colonisation inside the stump, accelerating hollowing. Stainless steel provides rigidity for accurate hole placement, while the cobalt alloy drill bit retains hardness above 600°C, resisting dulling during extended use. To apply: Use the drill bit nail to create shallow starter holes (approx. 1–1.5 inches deep) at 4–6 inch intervals around the stump’s outer edge. Follow with the stainless steel nail to deepen each hole slightly, then fully seat the copper nails with light hammer taps. Over 4–12 weeks, copper ions migrate inward, deactivating meristematic tissue and halting secondary growth. This method avoids excavation, noise, vibration, or soil disturbance — ideal for small urban gardens, heritage sites, or locations near walls, drains, or paved areas where mechanical removal is impractical or prohibited.
