24V PoE Regulator for 48V Passive Systems

This compact 24 V passive PoE regulator is engineered to safely step down 44–56 V input — whether from standard 802.3af/at switches or passive 48 V injectors — to a tightly regulated 24 V DC output rated at 1 A maximum. It preserves full 10/100 Mbps Ethernet data transmission without latency or packet loss. Input connects via male RJ45 supporting both Mode A (pins 1&2/3&6) and Mode B (pins 4&5+/7&8−); output uses female RJ45 wired strictly for Mode B (4&5+, 7&8−) to match common 24 V device requirements. Power draw is only 300 mW in standby (802.3af keep-alive), enabling compatibility with lower-power PSEs. Designed for continuous operation between 0°C and 50°C. Constructed from robust black plastic, it includes visual status LEDs: green for input power detected, amber for active 24 V output. Ideal for powering 24 V wireless routers, access points, door locks, outdoor camera heaters, and low-voltage lighting in UK and EU deployments.
