20W 8 Ohm Ceramic Cement Resistor

Each unit has dimensions of approx. 61 × 12 × 13 mm (2.4 × 0.47 × 0.51 inches) and weighs 40 g. Constructed using a combination of ceramic core and cement coating, the resistor achieves both mechanical rigidity and thermal mass. It offers 8 ohms nominal resistance with ±5% tolerance (J grade) and is rated for continuous 20W power dissipation. The solderable axial leads measure 0.7 mm in diameter, facilitating firm mechanical anchoring and low-resistance solder joints. Its design prioritises thermal endurance and electrical insulation — making it suitable for use in power regulation, surge suppression, and energy-dissipating functions within consumer electronics and industrial instrumentation. Typical applications include computer power supplies, TV horizontal output stages, audio amplifier protection circuits, and laboratory test equipment.
