Must be used with gravity-fed reservoirs — e.g., elevated 5-gallon buckets — and cannot connect to pressurised plumbing. The 3-inch (7.6 cm) drinking area supports species-appropriate hydration: chickens use wattles to gauge depth, ducks submerge entire beaks, and rabbits reach comfortably. Valve actuation depends solely on light contact — no springs or magnets — resulting in predictable, quiet operation. Validated for use with chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, quails and rabbits in both fixed and rotational grazing systems.
