16 In 16 Out RS485 Modbus RTU PLC Module

This industrial-grade IO expansion module operates on DC 6.5–30V (compatible with 12V and 24V systems) and draws only 8–50mA current. It features 16 photoelectrically isolated NPN active-low input channels and 16 Darlington output channels (using ULN2803 drivers), each capable of switching up to 300mA load. Communication is via RS485 using the widely supported Modbus RTU protocol — fully compatible with function codes 03 (read holding registers) and 06 (write single register), with select registers also supporting function code 16 (write multiple registers). The module supports six control modes per output: Open, Close, Instant, Self-locking, Interlocking, and Delay (up to 255 seconds). Up to 64 units can be daisy-chained on a single RS485 bus. Default baud rate is 9600 bps, with jumper-selectable options including 2400, 4800, 9600, and 19200 bps. Supplied in a DIN35/C45 rail-mountable flame-retardant VO-rated housing (UM72 model, 72mm width, designed for 100mm PCB backplane). Includes one RTU module and one DIN rail enclosure.
