12pc FX4 Bio Sponge Filter Pads

White sponge-based pre-filter pads designed exclusively for FX4 canister filters, with verified compatibility for FX5 and FX6 units. Suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater aquarium environments. The sponge’s uniform cell structure intercepts microscopic particles at the water intake stage, preventing downstream clogging of mechanical and biological media. This contributes to stable water parameters and supports long-term biological balance. As organic buildup gradually occludes pores over time, efficiency declines — regular replacement every 6 to 12 months restores optimal performance. Installation requires no tools or adjustments: pads slot directly into the pre-filter housing with friction-fit stability.
